Bourbon Offshore Norway agrees with Palantir to implement KeepUp@Sea on its fleet

On January 26, 2009,

Bourbon Offshore Norway as (BON) has entered into an IT&C contract with Palantir as. Palantir will deliver the KeepUp@Sea solution on 20 BON vessels. Palantir will also deliver service and support work for existing IT&C infrastructure on the Bourbon Offshore vessels, starting 1st of September 2010.

The new Bourbon Vessel IT Standard will be built on the KeepUp@Sea solution from Palantir, and delivered as a Managed Service from Palantir headquarters in Stord, Norway. Additional deliveries in the agreement includes Hardware, Software, Logistics, Installation and migration services onboard the vessels. Following the upcoming Pilot installations in October, the global roll-out to the BON fleet will start this autumn.

– We have come to the conclusion that the KeepUp@Sea solution from Palantir would best meet our overall target which is a reliable and secure IT&C network onboard of our vessels, says Kay-Åge Fugledal, IT vessel manger in Bourbon Offshore Norway.
– This contract is very important to Palantir,  and we will together with the skilled people in the Bourbon organization build a robust solution for the Bourbon Offshore fleet. This will enable the crew to focus on even more effective vessel operations, states Arvid Dregelid, CEO of Palantir AS.
